The Town Hall in Wroc³aw (Dolno¶l±skie Voivodeship) was erected on the Market Square, and the first works related to it began in the 13th century, when the so-called consistorium. In the years 1328-1333, next to this building, a smaller one, called the praetorium, was built. Shortly later, probably in the years 1343-1357, a session room for the Court Chamber was established. In the later part of the fourteenth century, the town hall underwent further reconstructions, such as adding a floor to the consistorium, and the tower was also rebuilt, probably erected at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The Wroc³aw town hall was clearly expanded in the period from around 1470 to 1504, when the building took on a distinctly late Gothic form with only some Renaissance elements. In 1510, the façade of the town hall was covered with a painted decoration that survived until the end of the 19th century. The town hall, during both world wars, survived in a relatively good condition, and in the years 1949-1953 it was fully renovated. At present, the building houses the City Museum.
