Samolot szkolno-treningowy dla dwoch pilotow. W 1935 r. A.Zdaniewski opracowa³ zmodyfikowan± odmianê samolotu PWS-16 bis, oznaczon± PWS-26. By³a ona przeznaczona do treningu w strzelaniu, akrobacji oraz do bombardowania z lotu nurkowego i poziomego. Wzmocniono konstrukcjê samolotu i przystosowano go do lotów odwróconych oraz zabudowano karabin maszynowy i fotokarabin, wyrzutniki bomb pod skrzyd³ami i okienka celownicze w spodzie kad³uba. Ponadto wprowadzono drobne ulepszenia konstrukcyjne i eksploatacyjne. Samolot otrzyma³ dobr± opiniê z prób w IBTL w 1936 r. W tym samym roku powsta³a pierwsza seria 20 PWS-26 z przeróbki znajduj±cych siê w produkcji PWS-16 bis. W latach 1937-1939 zbudowano nastêpnych 300 PWS-26.
PWS 26 is a Polish, single-engine, training and training aircraft in a mixed biplane structure from the World War II period. Bobek-Zdaniewski. The flight of the prototype took place in 1935, and mass production started in 1937. The aircraft was manufactured by the Podlasie Aircraft Factory. The machine was intended for training in shooting, acrobatics and bombardment from diving and level flight. Compared to the PWS-16, the structure of the aircraft has been strengthened and adapted to inverted flights, a photo rifle and sight windows in the bottom of the fuselage have been installed. In addition, minor design and operational improvements were introduced. Technical data: length: 7.03 m, wingspan: 9 m, height: 2.87 m, maximum speed: 201 km / h, speed of climb: 4.1 m / s, practical ceiling: 4200 m, maximum range: 460 km, armament: permanent - 1 Vickers machine gun or wz. 33 cal. 7.7 mm, suspended - up to 25 kg of bombs.
