Citroen 2CV is a French passenger car with the so-called class of city cars, which was first presented to the general public in 1949. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 1990. This model has therefore been in production for over 40 years! It took place in several cities around the world, including Levallois-Perret in France, Liege in Belgium and Vigo in Spain. In total, about 3.9 million copies of this car were produced.

The 2CV model was designed and put into production to win the city car segment for Citroen. It was based on the works and prototypes that were created by this concern just before the outbreak of World War II. It was a light car, weighing about 590 kilograms, but relatively spacious inside, cheap to produce and operate, and was also characterized by a very simple structure. However, it had a fantastic suspension, which ensured high travel comfort. It was offered in several body variants, including: 2-door pick-up, 2-door mini-van or 4-door "saloon". The drive of the 2CV model has evolved from a 0.4 liter engine with only 9 HP to a 0.6 liter engine generating 29 HP. Citroen 2CV relatively quickly gained the title of a cult car.
