The Jeep Wrangler is a contemporary civilian off-road car that was first presented to the public in 1986 at the Chicago Motor Show. Its serial production started a year later. The car was or is powered - depending on the version - with an engine with a capacity of 2.4 to 4.2 liters. The car is approx. 395 cm long with a width of 169 cm and a wheelbase of 237 cm. Production was and is carried out mainly in the United States.

Jeep Wrangler in a very indirect way refers to the legendary off-road car from World War II, Willys Jeep. It was introduced to the market to replace the CJ-7 model in the company's offer. Four main versions of the car, marked as YJ, TJ, JK and JL, appeared in the course of production. The first version was offered in the period 1986-1995. It was offered with a 2-door SUV or convertible. The JL version, on the other hand, was presented in 2017. It is offered in 2-door and 4-door versions, with various body variants (e.g. SUV or pick-up). It also has an improved gearbox, changed design and much richer equipment.
