Fujimi 144252 IJA Super Bomber Fugaku

The Nakajima G10N Fugaku was a design for a Japanese low-wing or back-wing metal structure from the WWII period. The propulsion was to be provided by six engines Nakajima NK11A 2,500 hp each. The project was never realized in the form of a prototype or, even more so, of serial production. The deck armament was to consist of four 20mm Type 99 cannons. The machine was also supposed to carry a load of bombs weighing up to 20,000 kilograms.

The project of the Nakajima G10N Fugaku aircraft was created for the needs of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which wanted, from 1943, to obtain a strategic bomber capable of attacking targets in the continental United States. Work on such an aircraft has already been undertaken by the Nakajima company, they are codenamed "Project Z". In 1943, the Nakajima works profoundly changed their initial design and the planned aircraft used new engines than initially planned, weaker on-board weapons, but it was still assumed that the machine would be very fast and capable of carrying an impressive bomb load for those times. However, due to the very low priority of the entire project, delegating forces and resources to other projects and tasks, the Nakajima G10N Fugaku remained only a planned aircraft that never left the project realm. The entire project was probably canceled in mid-1944.
