The Honda Steed 400 is a Japanese chopper motorcycle that was presented to the public for the first time in 1988. Its serial production continued in the years 1988-2001. In the Steed 400VSE model, the drive was provided by a two-cylinder engine with a capacity of 398 cm3 and a maximum power of 31 HP. The maximum speed of the motorcycle reached 130 km / h.
The Steed 400 model has been developed and implemented for production by the Honda Motor Company concern, intended for the Japanese and North American markets. Its main goal was to engage in a market battle with some Harley-Davidson models on its domestic American market. Several versions of the Steed 400 models were created in the course of production, among them: VLX (the first version produced on a large scale), VLS (motorcycle with reduced height and increased diameter of the front wheel) and VSE (model produced in 1995-1996 with a full disc rear wheel). It is worth adding that the motorcycle of this series was characterized by very high quality engines, which allowed it to achieve a mileage of 250,000 kilometers.
