Ievoli Black is a modern, multi-task tug of Polish production. The launch of the vessel took place in 2009. The overall length of the ship is 70 meters, the draft is 5.1 meters and the width is 15.5 meters. The unit is powered by two engines with a power of approx. 6880 KM each. The top speed is around 15 knots. Ievoli Black was developed for Svitzer Salvage, which is now also its owner. The unit was built at the Northern Shipyard in Gdańsk. Svitzer Salvage charters many of its ships (including the Ievoli Black) to the Dutch Coast Guard. The main tasks of the unit are primarily active environmental protection, with particular emphasis on minimizing disasters related to oil spills from oil rigs in the North Sea. Very rarely, Ievoli Black also cooperates with the Dutch service of KNRM responsible for sea rescue.
