Aber 16L-07 German 3,7 cm KwK A 7 L/42 tank gun barrel for Pz.Kpfw. 38(t)

Skoda A7 vz.38 (later German designation - The 3.7 cm KwK 38 (t)) is a 37 mm tank gun from the interwar period and World War II, produced in Czechoslovakia. The gun entered service at the end of the 1930s, and factories were responsible for its development and production Škodovy Závody. The barrel length of this gun was 47.8 calibers, or 176.9 centimeters. Its rate of fire, with a well-trained crew, reached 12-13 shots per minute, and the effective shot range was up to 1500 meters. The average initial velocity of shells fired from this gun was 762 m / s. In German service, it fired mainly two types of missiles: APCBC (ang. Armor Piercing, Capped, with Ballistic Cap), i.e. a full-caliber anti-tank missile. with a ballistic cap and an APCR (Armor Piercing, Composite Rigid) missile, a full-caliber anti-tank missile. with a hardened core (mainly it was Panzergranate 40). When firing an APCBC round, it was able to overcome a 67 mm-thick armor plate at a distance of 100 meters and a 57 mm plate at a distance of 500 meters. When firing the PzGr.40 missile, these values were respectively: 91 mm at a distance of 100 meters and 49 mm at a distance of 500 meters. The presented gun was the basic armament of the LT vz. 38, later bearing the designation Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t).
