The modern belfry of the miners in Tarnowskie Góry (Śląskie Voivodeship) was erected in the 19th century, although it is believed that it is structurally modeled after a much earlier building, perhaps in the 16th century. The belfry currently rises on a limestone foundation, is made of wood, and its roof is shingled. It is worth adding that this roof is called tent type. Originally, the structure was probably located in the area of the mine in Bobrowniki Śląskie, and its bell marked the next shifts in the mine. There is, however, a hypothesis that the belfry also rose in the area of the Fryderyk mine. In 1955 the miners' belfry was moved to the city of Tarnowskie Góry, and more precisely to its very center, more precisely - to Gwarków Square, near the Roman Catholic church of St. st. Peter and Paul. The presented structure was entered in the register of immovable monuments of the Silesian Voivodeship.
