Trumpeter 01636 Chinese JL-8/K-8 Karakorum

The JL-8 is a Chinese-Pakistani two-person low-wing training jet with a classic tail. The JL-8 Hongdu plane is also known as: Nanchang and K-8 Karokorum. The first flight took place in 1990. and the first 14 machines went to the Pakistani Air Force in 1994. An order was then placed for another 75 machines to replace the older Cessna aircraft. JL-8 has the ability to attach 250 kg bombs (up to 1000 kg) and short-range missiles, external fuel tanks and containers with 23mm cannons. Airplanes of this type have entered into use in many countries, incl. they were exported to Bolivia, Egypt, Sudan, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.
