The BRU-57 is a multi-lock, American-made modern-day, American-made suspended air beam. The plants are responsible for its design and production L3 Harris Technologies (abbreviated: L3Harris) based in Melbourne, Florida, United States. The presented beam is suspended from the fixed suspension point of the plane (pylon), and the reinforcement is suspended from it. Thanks to this solution, the aircraft is able to carry a greater number of overhead weapons. Based on the information taken from the manufacturer's website, it can be concluded that the BRU-57 beam is easy to use on the ground, and does not deteriorate in any way the piloting properties of the carrier aircraft. The presented beam is dedicated to carrying, above all, the so-called intelligent weapons, such as the AGM-154 JSOW. It is also worth adding that the BRU-57 beam allows the pilot to control the state of the hanging armament. The beam is there used primarily on the F-16 C / D Block 40 and newer, and will most likely be used on the South Korean KF-X aircraft.
