The Arado Ar 96 aircraft was a training machine used mainly for learning advanced piloting and air combat during World War II. Conceptual and design works began in 1935, and serial production lasted from 1939 to 1945. Apart from the Luftwaffe, Ar 96 was also used by Hungarians. The plane was powered by an Argus AS 410 engine with 465 HP and armed with a MG17 machine gun. Production was about 2,800 pcs. After the war, Czechoslovakia used the Ar 96 in its aviation schools under the changed name Avia / Letov C-2. Technical data: Top speed: 330 km / h; altitude: 7100 m, range: 990 km, weapons: 1 MG17 7.92 mm machine gun.
